With the dredging in Grindstone still going on, I was able to make it down to Lake Erie to fill the freezer with some walleye. Met long time friend Johnny Jokar at his boat in Luna Pier around 5:30am. After grabbing a Ohio Tag and shooting the bull with Mi High Stevie and all the other Captains docked there we were on our way. They day began with calm seas as we made the 10 mile run out towards West Sister Island. From there we took a northern troll towards Fermi and ended up by Sputnik. As we turned to head back south the waves had grown to solid 3 footers making a little hard to read the lines as we headed back up hill. By the time we again turned around we had 4 Ohio tickets filled along with about 75 silver bass at it wasn't even 10am yet. Had a pretty rough ride back going into a stiff SW wind. Fish were all of nice size. Jr. streaks off Big Jon mini disks 80-90 feet back along with dipsies 45 back were the ticket over 24 fow..Fishing should only get better there as June rolls on!
